Jean Hay-Smith PhD, Associate Professor in Rehabilitation
Jean was a practising clinician for 20 years and is now an full-time rehabilitation academic at the Rehabilitation Teaching and Research Unit (RTRU), University of Otago, Wellington, which offers postgraduate distance teaching and research programmes for rehabilitation clinicians and service users. She’s been a researcher for 25 years and has used and supervised quantitative and qualitative methods. Jean is passionate about fostering excellent and clinically applicable postgraduate education and research because she knows RTRU graduates are change agents in their clinical settings, leading to improvements in rehabilitation process and outcomes.
