“I love sharing evidence and research in a user friendly way that helps it make a difference.”
Susan Gee
Senior Researcher
Susan brings a wealth of experience to the team, as she puts in her own words, “I was bitten by the research bug as a psychology student at the University of Otago, and have stayed infected every since!” Along the way Susan has studied in the UK, taught at a university in Australia and has been a research fellow in Wellington. She is happily settled in Christchurch for over a dozen years now.
Alongside her role as a senior researcher at Burwood Academy Trust Susan works with the Psychiatry of Old Age Academic unit at the CDHB, the University of Otago and the New Zealand Dementia Foundation.
Susan particularly loves sharing evidence and research in a user friendly way that helps it make a difference.
When she is not at work her favorite place is with family, you’ll often find her in the kitchen baking up a storm to give away or tucked up on a sofa with a good book.
Susan has a PhD in Psychology from Otago University in Dunedin and a Masters in Gerontology from Kings College London.
