What makes a conversation successful when one person has aphasia?
Development of a patient reported outcome measure. Results from a scoping review and nominal groups with couples with aphasia

Date: Thursday 21st July 2022

Time: 12:00pm-1:00pm

Location: Burwood Hospital Room 2.3 a & b

Conversation therapies in aphasia focus on the behaviours that help or hinder participation in conversations

Annette explores how we might  conceptualise “successful conversation” for people living with aphasia (PWA) and their primary conversation partners (PCP)

She will present the preliminary findings of 2 studies. 1)  a scoping review of outcome measures used in couple conversation and 2) the results of focus groups using nominal group technique with people with aphasia and their primary conversation partners
