Rebecca had recently completed her master’s degree which explored how rehabilitation is conceptualised in the Cook Islands to support and strengthen services provided by Te Vaerua. Her study suggests that the focus of rehabilitation in the Cook Islands differs from a traditional Western approach with a cultural framework underpinning successful rehabilitation outcomes.
