The Canterbury Medical Research Foundation (CMRF) has awarded Burwood Academy’s Dr Johnny Bourke their inaugural Emerging Researcher Fellowship in recognition of his research talent and commitment to improving the health and wellbeing of people living with disability.
Thank you to the CMRF and its donors for your support and investment in health research and in the Canterbury Community and beyond. Johnny’s research aims to understand the factors that make a good relationship between disabled people and their support workers. It will also encompass wider groups including whānau and service providers. The alignment between CMRF, Johnny and the Burwood Academy is featured in an article in July’s Metropol magazine.
