Rebecca Abey-Nesbit is a statistician with the Big Data and Better Ageing group; a research group with the University of Otago, Christchurch. She is also a PhD candidate with the Department of Medicine, University of Otago, Christchurch. The aim of her research is to identify risk factors for hip fracture using the interRAI home care assessment and to create a hip fracture risk score from these results. Rebecca’s presentation discussed the initial findings of her research into risk factors for hip fracture in community dwelling older people.
