Dr Debbie Snell is a consultant clinical psychologist with the Burwood Concussion Clinic who has been researching concussion outcomes for some years. She has recently been awarded a clinical practitioner research fellowship from the Health Research Council to undertake a new study to better understand recovery after concussion. As part of preparing for the study she discussed the project with stakeholders to ensure relevant factors are being considered from the outset, as this increases the chances the research findings will lead to improved health services and outcomes. This presentation covered current understandings about concussion recovery, the gnarly issues that everyone struggles with, and the proposed new study.
